4Winds Realty.Com, Inc. was licensed to assist buyers and sellers with real estate transactions September 1, 2002. The business was formed by real estate broker(s) and agent(s) formerly representing Fairbanks Real Estate located in the old “Pink Hotel” at the corner of Main and Second Streets. The office location of the new company was in the Corrigan Building located on Second Street next to Michigan Commerce Bank. Currently the company operates out of the Woodruff Lake Co-Op Apartments, Inc. office.
Woodruff Lake Co-Operative Apartments, Inc. were built in 1968 as co-operative housing and have operated in that capacity to the current date. The corporation owners have sixty four (64) apartment and/ or townhomes. Cooperatives started in the 1840’s in England as a way for people to save money. Besides saving money, cooperatives are attractive to people who like the idea of a business being owned and managed by its owners. The first U.S. cooperative housing was started in New York and Chicago providing luxury housing at a reasonable cost.
Lawrence Schillinger, President/Owner of the corporation has helped buyers and sellers negotiate their real estate contracts in the Livingston County and surrounding area for many years. Currently Larry assists his established clientele and new references with their housing needs. Larry also serves the local community in city government positions.

Donald Sexton, Secretary-Treasurer/Co-Owner is the President and Certified Cooperative Director of Woodruff Lake Co-Op Apartments, Inc. on Alan Road in Brighton Township. Marketing and managing co-operative housing occupies much of his time. Don has served his local church as a musician since the family moved to the Brighton area in 2001.
